Casa Josué was birthed out of recognizing a need for students either aging out or graduating from RSM Boarding School for the Deaf in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico. Students transitioning out of the boarding school had difficulties adapting to the "real world" in terms of finding a job, continuing their education, or becoming independent from their families. This problem is all compounded with the lack of access, and daily discrimination the Deaf experience in Mexico. This need led Luke Everett, Ralph Lynch, Robert Ordway & Evan Palmer to establish Ensenada Silent Ministries (now known as Casa Josué) in the year 1996 to help Deaf men become mature, responsible, productive, spirit-lead citizens here in Mexico.
And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

Casa Josué is a two story building located in the hills of the city of Ensenada. The bottom floor is the home of Pastor Carlos' family and his two sisters, Gaby Suarez and Vania Suarez. Pastor Carlos is the pastor for the Deaf at Calvary Chapel Horizonte in downtown Ensenada. Gaby Suarez and her daughter live on the other bottom half of the building, and she helps manage the bills and finances of the building. The top floor has an independent access and is equipped with a kitchen, a living room, two bathrooms, and five bedrooms for the men living there.

For further information on giving or coming down as volunteers to do a project, contact Luke Everett.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
We want to expand and remodel the kitchen in order to best serve 5-8 people living in ESM. These needs include:
After many years of usage, a lot of things are worn down and need replacing. This includes:
All bathrooms in the building, top and bottom floor need work done.
We want to create a space that is welcoming and fitting for Deaf gatherings. The backyard has been unused for so many years and thus in need of some landscaping & repair, including:
Each bedroom hasve specific work that needs to be done, but generally they all need:
We understand that for many people, coming down and serving is difficult or not a reality. If you want to give financially or donate an item to help us slowly remodel the ministry, contact Luke Everett for further information.
